Kreidy, when you get a chance you should get the silencer mounts beefed up at the silencer as mine **** after only a couple small rides,

Finally got it mounted up, somwhat. Just one silencer bolt in for now. Will have to "fix" the midpipe when I have time in the spring.  Ironically I was able to keep the stock fender bracket

i think the early hybrid pipes had a fit issue.  If i remember, the first jig was made from a modified frame.

Seemed to me that Q's hybrid pipe fit great and the 250 pipe had clearance issues.
That same exact hybrid pipe wouldn't fit on 210Zilla's 85-86 hybrid.
There's just so much differences between identical bikes, then factor in 20 years worth of riding, hard to say if anything will fit right.

Didn't you know you have to have a welder to fit a AAEN Pipe?

They should option a Harbor Freight MIG welder with every purchase.  S~ ::) C:-)

Funny Q hybrid pipe's used to have fit issue's but the Zilla pipes fit good, with AAEN all the hybrid pipes fit good and the zilla pipes are f'ed up.

Honestly if I didnt have a race this week end I would ship the midpipe and silencer bck and make them fix it. At least the FMF I pulled off mounted correctly even if it was anemic

The spark arrested silencer is so much better looking than the non.

I was wondering the same about the hybrid pipes. But would the mounts on the expansion chamber wuld line up? I actually didnt have that much of a problem with those. Just basic tweaking

Redrilled the holes on the silencer but I had to drill them both out to 1/2" to get it to work. Still can only get the rear mount to line up unless I  cut or heat up and bend the mid pipe. Does anyone have these problems with the Q or HPR pipes?

I wonder if they are sending out hybrid pipes for zillas? i dunno sounds about the exact same as mine was

So here are the issues.
1. Yes the mid pipe is WAY off. to make it right I will hve to cut it in half, adjust it and reweld it.
2. The spring clips on the silencer are at 12 and 6 oclock while the clips on the mid pipe are at 2   and 6 oclock!!!!! The top spring is rubbing on the mid pipe.
3. Mounts on top of the silencer were not even inline when they welded them. I should have just packed it back up when I saw that when I opened it. And the mounting holes were nowhere near correct

Now dont get me wrong, I've put on plenty of aftermarket over the years and I realize there may need to be some "tweaking" to do to get them to fit right but this is unacceptable.

Any chance on redrilling the rear mount to allow the forward mount to bolt up?

Pulled off the DCS-4 off of E bay to be used for DCS-5 refinements,  you want to contact SQHQ member Elana from Aaen.

After paying $400 for the pipe I'm kinda pissed that I am having this many issues getting it to fit! Thinking I should have bought the DCS I saw on ebay
