Joe has not been on the site due to auto accident that occurred Jan 13,
Here is what Joe sent me.
Christy and I were in an auto accident on January 13th. Christy’s new car, had the summer performance tires on, we were traveling home from an evening in downtown Columbus in heavy downpour, I lost control at 70mph, slid off the interstate and hit tension cable divider in median and then began to roll. Ambulance took both of us to ER, Christy has a concussion, partially torn rotator cuff in shoulder, bruised ribs, and very sore. I have a laceration to my head, took an impact to the chest from steering wheel, ribs 6-12 on my right side are very bruised, and lots of other bumps and bruises…Fortunately we will walk away from this. We were wearing our seatbelts but the airbags in new Ford never went off, they are investigating reason. The entire front of her car is gone, both side front fenders are gone, hood twisted off car, and roof caved in due to rolling. As far as I am concerned, the car did its job to protect us, I am thankful. The front airbags, side airbags, curtain airbags…no clue. Our insurance adjustor actually pulled the remainder of the headliner out of the crushed roof to be sure they installed the curtain airbags. New car is a total loss, so once we heal, time to look for another new car for Christy.
I’ll check in on the site once I feel better. Talk to ya soon!
Joe
The Rocks are great people Please send good thoughts for their speedy recovery.
