Power Valve http://www.suzukiquadracerhq.com/general-discussion-33/exhaust-valve-adjustment/

Derrik, I posted the tips on powervalve tuning...I can do another write-up if you want (and if I can remember everything, and if I get free time, and if I get tired of doing other awesome things).
I really wish there was some way we could have saved all of that stuff.

i believe the video will help, but to be even more informative i would love to see a video about exhaust power valve tuning, that info is just a bit harder to come by,i remember reading a great thread on it a loooong time ago on the old site

See what we can do, I am dynoing my 88 top end soon, see if I can video the tuning .
Are you using a 2.0 pipe...... ;D
That's top secret ... If he told you... He'd have to kill you ;D 8)
LOL no that would be the DCS-4 pipe to compare to the 87 top end

Great idea! Save a lot of the same questions being asked over and over again threads (I've been guilty of this before too, and sure I will be again though!)

Mitch.
.For most ATV or Motorcycle riders knowing how to properly jet and tune a carb can be difficult or a little frightening if
A} If dont know how to take the carb apart and change jets
B} If you dont know which jets affect what.
C}If you dont know how to go about making the changes or
D} Or if you have no idea how to tell if you are running rich or lean---what does lean act and sound like..what does rich act and sound like? If my octane rating is to low how do i know, what's it sound like.
My Idea
Have a sticky or a detailed tuning section with both how to TEXT, how to step by step VIDEO, and most importantly SOUND FILES.
The video takes the fear out of taking something apart with springs. :)
The sound files let us know....what does a lean motor in the midrange or top end sound like. What does rich sound like. What does detonation sound like. What does a grown man who just melted a piston sound like..lol. I have made that sound...its not pretty.
There is a great write up "carb tuning 101" in the site now however video and sound files would be an enhancement to this topic.
This would be a big undertaking for someone but would be useful to the majority of members here who do not have any expertise in this area.
I think this would be a BIG help. I may be wrong here. If you guys think this would be helpful speak up. If you think it would be a waste of someones time to put together speak up.. (quadman8)
