if it's the stock carb it will be an H on the parts list. depending on how clean it is there may be the last 5 digits of the part number cast into the carb current # is 01C01 but more than likely thats been superseded from 01C00

the bumper is about 2 in long and made of a rubber.  should be on the shock shaft opposite the shock body.

i wasn't talking about the shrader valve.  87-90 250 shocks have a round black knob on the rezzie which is for compression adjustments.  if your rezzie is just round without that, you must have a 85-86 shock.

87-90 shocks have a round black adjuster that slides in and out on the shock oppositte the shock body.  thats for rebound

what year lt250 do you have?

What does the bottom out bumper look like and where should it be located I'm assuming down by the linkage?

does your shock have the bottom out bumper on the shaft. if not it needs rebuilt.
one thing to know, you never buy a shock that has one missing, just spend the cash on yours to get rebuilt

adjuster on the shock is the rebound adjuster

adjuster on the rezzie is compresion adjustment.   only on 87-92 lt250r shocks.

do what they sound like.  rebound is how fast it rebounds after a hit.  and compresion is how stiff it is on the compresion stroke.

if the shock has never been serviced, you probably won't feel a differance in the adjustments.  oil breaks down, passages become clogged.
