Automotive paint in any form at all will get you no where fast 

never paint offroaders with automotive paint ever. As a rule. We nickel/chrome/PC/Polish because it doesn't fall off by the time you get back to the trailer.
Perhaps painting stuff can wait...... You will probly end up with fancy pants engine mounts and bits on the swingarm painted red blue purple and lilac but to me it will look crappy when pos engine mounts are painted extravagant but the next item over will be ignored because it is to complicated for you.
Don't shoot the messenger. im just sayin..... I have an issue with 95 percent of peoples paint schemes because they paint some items like they are special, BUT they are not different from an engineers perspective. Does that make sense?
