Steering stem bearing
« on: May 20, 2020, 09:38:29 am »
I've found a bearing that fits perfect to replace the steering stem bushing
It's got a inter sleeve so it will fix your worn out stem
I got mine from eBay bearing number HK172630
It was easy install I pushed the bearing in from the bottom after pushing it in I cut the old bushing down to fit the top part of the hole then installed it

Is this to replace the lower stem bushing that is pressed into the frame? If it is, how is the needle bearing going handle the axial load from the steering stem? Is it a tapered bearing? Are you using a thrust washer? Otherwise, the stem will just rub on the top of the bushing pocket in the frame. Cheers.
