Removing Rust from Parts Question

I have some Transmission parts, clutch basket with some light rust, what should I use to clean them up?
This stuff any good?

Soak them in atf dexron/mercon a few days then scrub them with a brass brush. How does an aluminum basket rust  ::)
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.

I would use a fine scuff pad Thoses work great  3 pack  is around 5 bucks and there the size of a sheet of paper
