Almost makes sense, From some digging on the net it appears the reed cage from the rm465 is also the same as the 87' LT250R

reeds for the 87 LT250 : http://boyesen.com/power-reeds-14.html Model #615   Reeds are same part number for both models. They didnt run the stuffers on that model at all.  Looks to be all same parts. The LT250 intake when held up in comparison the the 465 intake is smaller everywhere, massive restriction. IDK, guess ill let you guys know how it all works.
