NEVER BUY DURABLUE PRODUCTS
« on: August 12, 2013, 02:34:46 pm »
I ordered a DuraBlue eliminator +2+2 axle for the Zilla I'm restoring for a friend at the very end of June or July 1st. My parts buddy did some digging, and Parts Unlimited didn't have one, so we went through Durablue. They didn't have any in stock, but they said that it'd take "2-3 weeks" to get us one. Well, that time came and went. My buddy called them the last week, and it rang for 5 or so minutes, so he hung up. He talked to the "big boss" today, and you know what those M-----------S SAID?!?! THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE STEEL TO MAKE THEM, AND IT'LL BE ANOTHER "8-9 WEEKS"!!!!! WHAT THE FLYING F--K KINDA AXLE MAKER DOESN'T HAVE F-----G AXLE STEEL TO MAKE F-----G AXLES FROM?!?!?! I ENCOURAGE ALL QUADRACER/ATV ENTHUSIASTS NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM DURABLUE. I just contacted LoneStar about axles. Let's hope it goes somewhere.
Thank you for listening.

Well, Lonestar says they don't have any more. I asked if they could make some or know of someone who still makes them. Dammit.

Thanks Mitch.
But I'm so disgusted I don't even want to buy an axle made by them.

Gotta say, I have a bunch of durablue stuff. Never had any problems. When I bought my axle off ebay I didn't realize it didnt have any of the hubs or hardware. I called them and they sent me everything I needed ( for the cost of the parts of course) and did it in a quick manner. I think 2-3 week lead sucks when it gets blown, but It could be worst (refer to the mhr thread).

Lied to or have someone in a decent sized company tell you they can produce you a part for a 20+ year old machine with out checking material/tooling inventory? Big difference there.

Took 3weeks to get mine 7yrs ago. They were getting chromed? lol! got it and shitty chrome job rusted within a couple rides.. Think LSR uses durablue to manufacture theirs. Axcalibur by far best axle for Zilla I've seen heavy but pretty lol..

Durablue makes a quality product.  I would always contact Jason first about parts.  He's the man and hooks it up.

If you're ordering parts through anyone but Jason from Honda east you're not gonna be as satisfied as you could've been.

Lmao..... (Legitly eating popcorn right now so it's even better!!)

Side note 1: Having a popcorn machine is AWESOME.

Side note 2: I've never had any problems with Durablue myself. Are you sure you didn't just PLAN to call them? And something misshapped?

OK Gil. But they should've checked before RUNNING THEIR MOUTH.

MH, I talked to Lonestar, and they don't have any. I asked them if they could make one/some, but they haven't gotten back to me quite yet. I am patient, under CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.

Where is Yuzuha anyway?

Charles, I grow impatient with your constant negativity. I find your lack of faith disturbing...

86, they sure aren't going to sell ME any products.

Yeah they should have, But because one person spoke outta turn in a big operation doesn't mean you should go flame their reputation. Not many people or companies doing anything with these old birds. Most builders/ fabricators will shy away people who are quick to air out dirty laundry on a public forum. Just sayin, Its not as if you got robbed.
