Well, it'd be a messy cleanup, but I'd feel safe from rust in Lucas oil treatment. I mean, I've never stored anything in it, but I bet it would work. That stuff is the sticky icky.

I rubbed down a few 110 cylinders with it and it's lasted pretty damn well last I seen them.


My FTZ was coated in this oil stuff that was the consistency of vasaline and daaammnnnnn......

But you need an actual spray though. The liquid wrench brand white lithium grease (white can with blue label and lid) is about the best we've found so far. Y'all know that we keep engines and other parts open to the atmosphere for looonnnnnnnnnng periods of time. It hasn't failed us as of yet
