How to build a hybrid frame?
« on: February 24, 2016, 05:48:43 pm »
So after about 9 years im finally ready to start building my hybrid. I havent been on this site for a long time and there is a post that was a step by step guide on how to build a hybrid frame, I think it was posted by skully.  So I tried the search function and cant find it or anything that could help.  Does anyone have a link to the thread or to any other thread that would be helpful?

I'm of no help but just had to say, I don't understand how people could chop on a qr frame. Lol. All kidding aside, I believe Carl Bartlett is building his own frame.  Not sure if it's a 250 or a 500 though.  Anyways here is a link....

You might send him a personal message with your questions.  I know he's a busy dude but that's who I'd go to for help with anything.  He really knows his stuff about the 250's, not sure how much experience he has with zillas though.  But it never hurts to ask.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate all the help. I know I need to get the hybrid motor mounts. I think a member here makes them. Then I guess I could figure it out from there.

You can take Zilla stock a arms flip them upside down and almost
Bolt them on a stock 250 frame. You just need to cut 2 tabs off each side and weld back on. Cheapest set up you can do, gives you wide and forward a arms.
For 1/8 of te price of new stuff

Shon from here had zilla arms on his hybrid! What's up john? Where's shon been too speaking of him. There's only 3 places you have to cut the 250 frame to get a 500 motor in it if I remember.
