Hall's Pecision Racing - Jerry aka Motorgeek
« on: January 27, 2016, 01:51:29 pm »
Has anyone heard from Jerry Hall?

I have (2) messages into the shop without a response. It's been 2 weeks -  This is not typical Jerry.

Anyone know what's going on?
Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

I am sorry that I have not had the time to answer the mountain of emails and all of the status calls on jobs that are in the shop.  I am alive a well....Just trying to get some work completed.

There was a death in my family a couple of weeks ago.  I had to go to Ohio for about a week and my accountant also died.  He was also a one man operation.  His niece answered the phone for him and did some basic things around his office but  did not know where all of the information was kept.  I am searching my records and having to reconstruct much of the past years information needed to get all of the reports done that are due Jan 31.

I wish I could take the time to give everyone that has sent me stuff to work on a status report and an estimate of when there job will be completed.  Anytime someone walks into the shop or I answer the phone, the caller wants to know when their stuff will be done and has a quick question.  It usually takes 20 minutes or more to answer that quick question and by the end of the day there have been enough interruptions that another day passes without getting what I had scheduled done.

I try to answer most of the common questions on this forum to reduce the number of times I have to answer the same questions on the phone or with walk ins.  Guys need to spend a little more time searching on this forum.  Most of the top 100 common tech questions have been answered more than once on this forum by myself and or other knowledgeable members.

Well point them here first, maybe that'll help save you some time reexplaining things.

Searching this forum? Good luck with that. Most rather just start a new topic asking the same question that has been answered on the internet 1000s of times before. No one wants to do the leg work, they rather just be hand feed.

The Facebook "Pages" have stolen some traffic away from Forums. It's really bad because information is very hard to document and search. The way we communicate information is changing. Mostly because I think alot of people don't have actual computers anymore and it's easier to use a smart phone and a APP?

Just my thoughts.

Hardly anyone on here searches for anything.  They all just get on and expect everyone else to do the research for them, then they **** when you tell them to search.

The guys that **** about searching are bitching because they think that there time is more important than the guys that have donated their time to helping them for free.  The buys that ****  about searching are the same guys that try to take cuts in lines.  The guys that **** about searching are the guys that come into my shop and want me to put their job a head of the guys that have been waiting for months.  The guys that **** are the guys that go into the emergency room with a broken finger and expect the doctor that is working on a heart attack patient to stop and work on their broken finger and let the heart attack patient die.

I have no patients for selfish impatient people. :(

For every good advice, you have 10 others saying the wrong advice.

I know who your all referring to!  Me or newbie's like me, with the sniveling, bitching, crying, mechanically lame, lost, frustrated, little ****!  Yea that's got me written all over it! Stupid questions that's been answered many times over and over again! Guys like me don't deserve to live!  lol
Well maybe wrong! Please allow me, to possible chime in here, in our defense!
You might all remember posting in here for the first time here? Im very new here! Right away I dove in like a fresh fish hungry for advice!! Then after taking the plunge started looking around at all of you trying to figure out who you were and reading your posts and reply's!  I've been here a short time and have learned much both good bad and indifferent!
We were all newbies here at one time (as I still am) and most started out asking very basic question. Questions even as un-savvy as i am, seem's lamb, even to me, at times!  I didn't care about what anyone thought of my retarded questions, I was desperately in need of help!   Not knowing I might get eaten alive If the questions were not of anyone's liking! Then right away got replies of strangers that didn't even know me from Adam, yet were so ready to assist me w/ quick respectful, replies!  I have learned much along the way in a short time and will for some time! Good example last night I was crying out needing some newbie help, when one of you that has tried to help me before (along with many of you) whose username MotorGeek moved in giving to me advice (which seemed to me like maybe this guy might know what he's talking about, here) So I set back trying to put his suggestions together (along with others) in my head, then thought well I'll mail this guy back in his personal mail (not knowing this was ''GOD'' himself here) ''until now'' (I just figured It out with this mornings reads) What can I say, ashamed! sorry for asking, asking same old, same old! I now feel so privileged knowing this extremely educated, very busy person and persons took him and their precious time to help me! Makes me feel overwhelmed and so thankful! I'm learning, yet I'm not going to stop asking questions, if I can't find it here or somewhere else! Believe me I've been all over the net and calling frantically for years with many different difficult problems, trying to get answers and inform myself better, with sometimes not knowing where else to go!
So my advice to all newbies out there like me, search the forum thoroughly before asking for help because you never know ''GOD'' himself might suddenly show up trying to help your ass when you might have found it here first by reading past posts, plus also learning so much as you go along. You never know you might pick up something you weren't even looking for, like I have many times! Great advice here! Then too, you might not feel so stupid after reading lamer questions then something you might have! Put some hair on our ''SILLY ZALL BALLS'' and ask ''IF YOU DARE''!!! But first use Search box! That's what its there for, I found out! Great tool! Works for me!

ps: I just tried copying this over to the body of email's compose area, where on upper right corner gives (when clicking on) full page. Then using google's upper right three lines or gear symbol, make's script larger which is little more comfortable when sending a lengthy letter like this! sorry! Someone needed defending idiots, like myself! lol  Man If anyone read all the way to here, you have way too much time on your hands! Go to work! Burning daylight!

Such is life, busy busy busy.  For as long as I've heard of Jerry on here, he's always had an excellent rep for his work & his knowledge.  Sounds like right now he's doing his best to handle a heavy work load and dealing with the passing of a employee and some other things.  He's not crooked, or anything like that.  It sounds like a series of unfortunate events.  As much as he's done to help people on here, he has earned a break if you ask me.  & When a newbie asks a question, I always help without bitching.  I've been on here for a little while and learned to look past negative comments.  I remember a time when people could ask and not catch slack.  Get what you can and then ask to elaborate better if u need them too.  Not too many of us on here write negative comments, just the few, the unproud.  Fock em' all lol +k2

I'd settle for the brown Jeep in the background.  You have nice toys and what looks like bad jeep.  What kind of job do you have to afford stuff in that picture.
