The cylinder needs the ears reinforced. A guy from Australia just shipped me an engine that he bought from the USA about a year ago. He has had nothing but trouble with it. We just took it apart and inspected it. It needs a lot of changes to make it a reliable and powerful engine. It looks like someone tried to apply everything they new about Chevrolets to this LT500. It does not appear they new much about high performance two strokes. I wonder if the engine on the new ebay listing was built by the same guy that built the engine I just received from Australia?
I am not taking it personally. There is only so much I can to to truly determine the origins of an engine that I list. In most cases I feel that for the most part I am able to get somewhat reliable info from the seller. I know 250R engines well enough to usually be accurate in their descriptions, but the zilla engines are a different animal. Trinity built a ton of zilla engines here in So Cal. The Edelhall engine should have just been listed as an unknown built engine, but it was unique enough that I wanted to try to get some definitive information listed.
