I picked up this 86 TRX250R on the cheap. (Like really cheap)
It's got an FMF and nothing else as far as mods go.
I noticed the A-arms have a sort of "wrinkle" finish. Is this factory? All the bearings feel tight and the seller didn't seem to know much about the thing. He put a clutch and rings in it and that was it.
Anyone have a right side OEM fender they wanna sell

Well I just don't know what to say to that!

Lol are you aware this forum is for SUZUKI 250r's?

I'm just giving ya sh!t

lol I just bought a new trx450r and you know what's sad?

I still miss my zuki 250.

Lol so I'm selling off parts like crazy to get a "save my Zuki" fund going.

I love the honda but my heart is missing the old girl badly.

And no I don't have a fender, sorry but best of luck with that

and congrats on getting it for a great price.

Do you mind if I ask how much?
1) PICS
2) I'm no expert but a know a little about a little.
3) LUCKY. MOTHA. TRUCKA.
4) PICS!!
I'll upload the pics in a bit. I also just noticed the A arms have grease fittings where they meet the frame.
Swing arm a-arms and rims should be gold if its original oem, not saying the parts are not, just been re painted, I know I would, not a fan of the Gold.
I don't think the A arms are OEM. All the OEM a arms I've seen don't have greasable pivot points.
I also noticed it has a DG front bumper like my 500r.
The a arms almost look like burgards with a hammervein powdercoat.

Its not uncommon for guys to install grease fittings in the a-arms when replacing the bearings.Hard to tell from the pics but doesn,t look like the nut holding the balljoints threads on very far?
The other bike is a buddies and if I remember correctly it doesn't have grease zerts in the a arms.
Let the part hunt begin. Bought a set of original repo graphics. Bidding on a set of nerfs
How do u like the handling
No doubt it handles! its a 250r!
Can you give us guys on here some background info about the Honda 250R? Such as who makes some of the best custom pipes for them, or engine mods people can perform to them? I've never heard anything about them that they were a better performing 250R and they have a larger aftermarket following. Who are some of the big names of builders? Im just curious.
I've seen Paul Turners. ESR. Sparks MX, Trinity, Aeens, and other brands for it on ebay.. Seems like Sparks MX made the most HP on a dyno.
I believe CT racing built them back in the day But I am curious who else did.

Honestly on the trail riding, I couldn't notice it being any different from my non power-valved LT250Rs. The brakes though, those things are fantastic.
Always had good luck with the ct cylinders, I prefer them to any of the esr stuff My wifes bike has a ct310 non pv motor, LRD adj pipe, 39 pwk, moto tasinarri cage. and it absolutely rips. Taken down lots of 330,350 even a few 370pvs with it. It takes a built 500cc or bigger thumper to outrun it. Makes power all the way thru the rpm range. Most esr stuff i have rode is like a lightswitch either on or off the power. I had a set of ASR +2 arms on my last 250r race bike and they were very beefy. I would buy those, ive damaged a few lonestar arms over the years, but the asrs seem stronger.
piranhan pete is supposed to be the man when it comes to the 250r's
You can put a Polaris 400 top end and Rotax 800 sled top ends on them and they get SUPER nasty haha
The TRX looks tiny next to an LT. There was one down on the river one day. I wanted to race him but you could tell that poor motor was tiiirreeeedddddd when he went to kick it off.
I'm no expert but I did sleep in a hotel 6 last nite.

those A-arms look like the ones on my lt250, I bought it with them already on
WOW! Somebody has some nice toys hahmmmm dezsled
