Flat track in Northern Michigan
« on: May 26, 2015, 09:56:05 pm »
Ok guy's need some serious help and input. Many of you know i'm and asphalt stock car racer and love my quadracers. My local asphalt 1/4 mile race track owned by my good friend is really hurting on car counts and fans in the stands. They have an old motocross track next to the race track that is no longer used. Nobody seems to show up for the races. I've talked with him about dozing most of it and building an 1/8-1/4 mile dirt track and running 2-4 ATV races a summer. Pay would be pretty good around $500-$1000 to win the feature. Just wondering how many Michigan and mid west guys would come up to race? It's beautiful country up here with plenty of trails and things to visit.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.

Try over at 3wheelerworld.com as well. Trike racing is getting bigger in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New York every year. Ashtabula, OH had 75 three wheelers show up last year and it could be even more this July. One of the fastest riders is out of Michigan as well.
