Weep hole leak
« on: August 29, 2016, 05:13:42 pm »
I put a new oil an mechanical water pump seal in last week an still leaking coolant from weep hole so my fix is gonna be this I'm gonna find a proper sized nut & bolt find 2 O rings that fit bolt snug buy 2 washers an 1 lock washer. I'm gonna put 1 washer on first then 1 O ring making sure my bolt has a hexed head on it the snug fitting O ring should keep first washer up next to under side of bolt head I ll also be putting serviceable lock tite on bolt threads. then using long needle nosed plyers grab the hexed part of bolt with them feed bolt into weep hole. Next goes on last O ring last washer then lock washer then I ll tighten nut. an with the hexed bolt head I'll put an open end wrench on that an tighten it up. After I tighten water pump cover I ll fill radiator with straight coolant so when oil seal fails the tranny gears don't get rusty. Then in between oil changes I ll look for the oil to be chocolate milky. Then I no oil seals needs replacing.
