Reed cage and Reed Setup Question
« on: January 25, 2013, 07:26:16 pm »
So I'm pretty sure my Zilla has boysen reeds in it since it hAs a boysen sticker but I haven't torn it apart yet so I don't know for sure what's in it. My question is what's the best reed setup for the Zilla I had v force 2 reeds in my banshee back in 02 can't find those for the Zilla not real familiar with boysen reeds. No clue really about the subject anymore since its been years since I've been in the game. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

TDR petals are pretty good for a stock cage.

Ididnt care for the TDR reed back in the 90's, After few Glamis trips  I would inspect the reeds and they would after a few trip be lifted and not sealing, said the hell with them and went back to OEM and never had a problem, then up graded to the VF-2.
May want to get a hold of Jayson there are some carbon fiber reeds that RK used to use that worked really well I was told. I cant remember the MFG.......getting older aint for sissys

I have the 1987 tudors VF2's and like them alot.  snappy and reliable.  Jerry is also making a VF2 for the 87.  Both builders incorporate an aluminum block that spacers the reeds back to increase signal
