I know, they're hard to find and when you do find them they're crazy expensive.
Maybe I just lucked out.
The V3's are only about $10 cheaper if the V2's last longer then i guess it's a good deal
I got my used set of v2's off eBay for $75 + $6 shipping about a month and a half ago. Guy thought they were for a lt250 only and thought they were v3's. be prepared to modify your reed boot and don't just hack off the flanges. I'm gonna post a picture of my boot (which badmoon helped direct me in modifying) in my build thread today or tomorrow. It takes time and patience and a steady hand.
I just ordered brand new V2's $148.95 free shipping. Is that a good price?
I paid 150$ shipped to my house around a month and a half ago. So you done good on them. But Buck is right you dont want to cut them like the direction says to do. Hope he will post the pic in his thread later.
I really appreciate the help thank you. I would of cut them the way the direction said too. Lets see those pics.
Dez those are v3 reed cage and reeds. And the pictures will likely be tonight if I can get home at a decent hour and my son isn't still sick.
The place i ordered the V2's from just called me back and said that they thought they had them.

I'm done looking for these V2's.
Tudors has them for $180 or so including shipping.
Tudor's has them 149$ then 11.92 $ in tax then 12$ to ship so 172.92 is final cost with shipping from Tudor's. Thats how much the guy paid for the ones i bought off him . He sold them to me 150$ shipped brandnew.
Well i started to put the zilla back together today i put the cylinder on tightened up all the nuts then i went back over them to snug them up a little bit more and SNAP i broke a f***ing stud.

It was one of the small ones by the exhaust port.
I just put on my new top end. Torque specs for the 10mm & 6mm base studs are 29 & 8.5 lbs/ft. Sorry to hear, hopefully there's enough stud left sticking out of the cases for you to grab onto with some vice grips. Heat up the case around the stud before extracting. Made my rear stud extraction go really easy.
I got lucky it broke off in the nut. The thing that sucks is i had to order the stud and the nut from suzuki and its expected to ship friday so i won't have them till next week some time. Lucky the KX500 is ready to go i took most of week off to go ridding at a couple spots i like to go in PA
This happened to me when i bought my 500 and removed the jug the first time,
if the stud broke even inside the barrel nut there is almost a inch left of stud to grad on too.
I sprayed bp blaster on it for a couple days and it came right out. Hope its the same for you.
Good luck
Thank you. The stud came out a lot easier then i thought it would.
I got my new studs and nuts. Now i have to make some time this week to put it together.
Nothing cleans up a machine better than cherry new hardware
I couldn't just buy the one i broke i had to buy all of them. lol
Well, here it is. Finally got it on the trails after a very long, agonizing build. I just want to say thanks to Jerry Hall for the head and carb work, that made a huge difference in performance and to Mitch Keller for the DCS pipe #4 that runs awesome. I just want to say thanks to all you guys on the forum for all the advice I got while I was rebuilding it. It is greatly appreciated. Here is a few pics of it. Video coming soon as soon as I figure out how to work my new computer.
