Bought a partially built engine "In A Box", would like to have the cool head chambered, squished and O ringed. Check the cylinder for port correction and a pipe built. Gonna put the engine in a street bike chassis, something fun!

What are your expectations as far as power output and mileage between piston changes?

I "think" I want a strong mid-range (3500 to 7000 rpm) motor as I can, running on pump-gas.
Not looking to have a "killer" just a strong runner.
Since I am going to have to build a custom pipe to fit a bike chassis, might as well have it work with what I think is just a port-matched cylinder with a cool head. Jerry Hall seems to be the "Go-To" guy, shame he is in Arizona.
Thanks for asking....

I really don't know of anybody that knows how to hand cone a port matched pipe for the 500 except for Jerry and maybe Q but they are two different worlds and might be some issues trying to get the pipe worked around your frame etc.

KR pipes sold out to Matt shearer and taught him how to build pipes. Kenny Roberts raced for Yamaha back in the Day, look up Indy mile Kenny Roberts.  One and the same. Now builds all of BDT s hand built pipes.
