@Rider414, yeah I'm going to do that--the top end.  If there is one thing (and there's been more than one thing) I've learned from this forum, it's to redo the top end with the RM pin bearing and billeted thrust washers, period, end of story.  As someone else posted recently, POs always say "fresh top end".  This fella was no different, but I'll do it this winter.  Anyway, so far so good.  Compared to the 1985 'Racer--amazing!  I'll get some pics this weekend...
1985 LT250R stock, 1987 LT500R, and 1986 LT250R purchased in boxes, soon to be project.  Those plus a John Deere 440 Liquifire sled.
