Kyle the  the oem bearing in a hot rod rod lets the rod move side to side a 1inch  each way. When your pulling the rod side to side on the when the oem bearing is inserted on the crank pin. The hotrod bearings is probalbly  4 to 8mm taller then the oem bearing. Their is no way you could ever use oem bearing on a hotrod kit. Also the hotrod bearing will not fit inside oem rod.
