Call Jerry Hall and have your stock oem cylinder head modified for o rings and squish clearance corrected. The price of modifying a powerhead probably will exceed modifying a stock head.

might be cheaper just to buy one that is ready to go and shave yourself paying for shipping twice if you live outside the country.

Frank you can't go wrong with Jerry Hall HPR. His tech assistance is excellent, when u call he takes the time to explain/recommendations for your Zilla. While another builder maybe floundering as seen here, HPR has a strong reputation for delivering his proven motor mods without delay or headaches.

Man I didn't take any pics of the combustion chamber.... Sorry I wasn't thinking. The only unusual detail of the head was the welded up/restricted water passages above the exhaust port and the o ring grooves otherwise it was decked for a perfectly flat mating surface. Next time it's apart ill get a pic, it might be awhile tho I just installed the HPR modified top end  +k2

I use copper "gasket spray". Never fails.
Is this a fresh rebuild? The cross hatch on the cylinder walls look fresh

Haha an LT-250 for front wheel drive and lt500 for the kick in the a.. ! w+

Yes my complete engine is rebuild by my own hands...
But Jerry have tell me of some mistakes  I have made in the past....hot rod connecting rod, wiseco piston, oem trust washers...and and and .
I have learned of my mistakes .
And this learning costs 1500 € before Jerry told me.
I think i'm a wise man on 2strokes... +k2
My first cylinder had a crack on the left side .. a air leak.
I never thought about to make a leak down test. Or watch on the 2mm
of the slide in the carb.  Nevertheless, I took this cyl. bored it out,
put an LA sleeve in there   and bored it out to 550cc.
Bought me a wiseco piston
...but the outside the cyl wall have a crack that I never saw.
Put this together.
First kick jumped up. Ride after 15 minutes l feel the power goes down and down and down.
After mindless tmes   i heard about a leak down test.
Maybe Jerry repair me the 550ccm cyl. ?
