Lectrons are great carbs and not that hard to tune once you,ve worked with them for awhile. The key is getting the right needle. The wrong one and you,ll be chasing your tail.If you do ever get a lectron I,d recommend upgrading to the adjustable power jet.Makes tuning the top end very quick and easy. Also one thing to consider is Lectrons are a bit longer than a comparable Mikuni or Kehin so the distance between the rear bell mouth and airbox might not fit perfect. The inlet side is likely bigger in diameter too.You can easily have it machine down and even a tad machined off the engine side to shorten the carb.I run a 38mm Lectron on my 250 and am very happy with it.I,m sure arguments could be made for any of the carbs talked about.Alot of it is personal preference or what your familiar with.Maybe one of the more knowledgable engine builders have some hard data on one being more efficient than the other.
Can,t fix stupid.:)
