Hello want to know if anyone has a picture of the stock boot after it has been trimmed for the vForce reed system? Any pics or help would really help me, thanks
Maybe the reeds come with instructions for trimming? I have read that people trim the boot in a specific manner.
I think the instructions with the reeds, just to bolt the reed block to the intake boot using a couple bolts/washers. The washers give enough space for you to put a hack saw blade in there and you just trim off the tabs. The washers are not part of the final installation.
I'll add pictures of my stock boot, but it has been ported a little to match my modified carb and cylinder.

Sorry, my pictures are now of a 2 year old build that has been used, so lots of dusty, sandy, and dirty parts! Not quite as clean as Mitch's
Thanks Larry For Posting Pics! !
Thanks for Pics. I thought you had to leave a little ear on there? I read that on the old site I thought....? Maybe I am mistaken, cutting it flush looks easy though.
when i did mine i just used a sharp razor blade and cut them flush. then i took apart the reed cage and just bolted the flange to the intake boot, then ported the boot to match the opening of the flange. just be carefull porting the boot or you'll go through the side. dremel tool with a sanding drum works good, just be carefull. you can see the one in the pictures has been ported. personally wouldn't use a hack saw, you could bugger up the boot flange or the plastic reed flange.
