I known the Suzuki shop manual says it is ok.  The Suzuki engineers did not write the manual but someone hired by Suzuki USA with excellent English writing skills and marginal mechanical experience.   Their observation period was tool short to see the long term effect of these type of additives

Any additive with particles large enough to plug a coolant leak will eventually plug up the coolant passage ways and or put a coating on the internal surfaces in the cooling system.  A coating on the internal surfaces in the coolant system reduces the heat transfer from the cylinder to the coolant and the heat transfer from the coolant to the radiator.
