Rear swingarm bearing replacement

Which way do rear swing arm bearings go in. One side has a lip with numbers stamped on it got side tracked and can't remember if lip with numbers goes inside or outside any help would be appreciated 1989 lt 500

I did mine a few months ago and I don't remember there being a difference between one end or the other. As long as both ends of the bearing have a lip on them you can tap them in with a socket and don't have to worry about damaging the needle bearings or having them fall out.

Ok thanks I bought stock OEM bearings and one side has a noticeably bigger lip which has numbers stamped on it maybe there's a difference between OEM and aftermarket but I did manage to talk to a  mechanic and he said the numbers almost always go to the outside for OEM
