sprocket and brake rotor hubs ?

so putting axle assemble back together and noticed the hubs -flange are diff in the parts that slide in the seals. on one the splines are 1/4 in from end. the other its about 1/2 in from end which one goes where does the deeper on go on the side of the exle with the stopper which would be on the brake  side

The will only fit on one way and be able to tighten up.

Put them on and see how they go.
