What is ride height supposed to be?
« on: December 19, 2015, 03:41:21 pm »
Bought some Elka stage 3 shocks when they were on special.  I was wondering where my ride height is supposed to be with me on the quad.  Right now behind the lower front a arm to the floor I have 8 inches.  Really close to the footpeg I have 7 inches.  These numbers just seem high to me as I am used to my honda 250r's which I was told to set up at 6 1/2 front and 6 rear.  Or is the zilla supposed to be measured in a different place?  I use this quad for dune riding and just ripping around in wide open fields.  Thanks.

The only thing that will make a difference in ride height on a zilla is if the rear shock linkage is installed upside down, causing the rear to be rather high.

talk to elka, every quad is different.
Ride height is set by the sag of the shock.
Also size of tire.
