The factory bars are 7/8" I'd assume any hydraulic brake lever with that size perch mount would work as long as the line is long enough to reach the front master cylinder.

Im looking at an ASV kit on ebay. The clutch lever comes with a new perch, the brake lever is the lever only

Just be sure to get the right Banjo Bolt, not the same as the LT500, think the Z400 is a 10mm x 125 pitch, learned this the hard way

honda trx and suzuki ltr brake parts swap as well they are both nissin but like mitch said watch out for the bolt sizes. i just swapped a trx 450r front master to a lt250r and my yamaha tri z runs a suzuki ltr450 front master cylinder. some motorcycles that do not use radial master cylinders up front will also fit since many are for a 7/8" bar

The Mojave calipers are a direct swap on the 250 also. They're a bit better than the LT calipers.
