Someone on here had a similar problem that they asked about on the old QHQ forum several years back. If I remember correctly, the general consensus was to carefully remove the threaded tubes from the frame by either a large drill bit of the same diameter or a small hole saw of the same diameter. Then replace them with new threaded pieces to weld in.

Maybe you can get away with threading the existing tubes to a bigger size & using a helicoil?
