Is there supposed to be a circlip / snap ring on the brake side of the LT500r axle? I have a new durablue axle that has a groove for one. I'm not really sure what it would serve to do other than prevent damage to the splines from over torqueing the brake side nut, or keep the axle centered in the instance that the brake side lock nut loosens. Unfortunately I discarded/misplaced the stock axle, so I cant reference it. There are no indications of a snap ring in any of the parts fiche, but all used axles I've seen on ebay look to have one.

Can I run the axle with out it? Is there any place that sells this size circlip that I could buy a non-oem substitute?
