87 lt500r chain rollers
« on: May 07, 2015, 05:48:26 pm »
I'm having trouble finding the right chain rollers for my 87 lt500r the local parts store ordered me upper and lower the box said it fit 87 to 90 but they don't look  like  mine. Are the 87's different I've had this thing since I was 19 and I'm sure they are original (part numbers would be nice not much of a dealer here.)

I know one of the 87 rollers is a different size than the 88 to 90.  I can't remember if it is the upper or lower though.  But I just got regular chain rollers for my 88 of the correct diameter and they worked just fine.

Mine were so bad I don't know what size they were. The bottom looks close but the top shredded.

I'm not sure if it will hurt anything I put them on today the new ones have roller bearings my others didn't. I found the peaces of the top one at the bottom  of the hill where I jumped it is bigger than the one I put on. I'm going to ride tomorrow hope it lasts till I get it right.
