got it with a hammer and chisel.   So now I got all the nuts off and the cylinder is stuck on gasket I guess.  Is it always a super tight fit to get this thing off?  I got super sweaty and gave up.  Of course it doesn't help its about 105 in my garage.

Should just wiggle right off.  Try grabbing it at the top of the cylinder and wiggling with both hands.  Is the piston seized?

Gasket glue is rubbery in nature and wouldn't be the cause of a stuck jug.  Avoid prying on it.

You could try tapping the sides with a rubber hammer but dont whack it.  That's asking for a broken stud or jug.
