Never ran the 86 quad before. But my 91 when I switched to Burgard made my bike handle alot better. I set camber at 3 degrees negative also done bumb steer mod. But the a arms overloaded my shocks. But that was my only problem I had out of mine. I got + 2 and 1 inch forward design.
