Can z400 front spindles/brakes and all that bolt onto the stock 87 lt a-arms? If not what can?
Their is a thread about this. type it in on the search bar and see if it comes up.
I doubt it will search feature is terrible on this forum..
Yea I just tried and it wouldnt find nothing about it. My bad on the suggestion
I know this was done on a 500. Someone posted a pic and the suspension travel was reduced because of ball joint bind.
I would like to see if this can be done. I have all Honda pattern rims
I've heard it can be done but I can't find much on it and if I find anything I'll post it up
I know of people using yfz hubs
I'm running yfz hubs. Just had to shim the caliper with a few washers. As far as z400 goes. I have one in my garage I'm going to be replacing the spindle on. Maybe I'll try to mock it up and see what's up.
Anyone try this yet? I'm running yfz front hubs and read that the yfz calipers fit the z400 spindle and would like to run that setup if possible.
I'm currently in the process of putting 400ex spindles and hubs with yfz450 calipers on mine. The dual piston yfz450 calipers bolt right onto the 400ex spindles. To get the 400ex spindles to work I had to get a set of lower balljoints that are for aftermarket 400ex arms. This should be quite the upgrade. Way way better braking and much better wheel selection. I need to get that thing done, the weather is finally starting to get better.
Please post something up when you do!
You know if the yfz hubs will fit ex spindle? I ask because I'm kinda locked in to 4/156 due to jus buying my second set of wheels and my rear is yfz so it jus makes things easier. Where do you get these lower ball joints? I also have lonestar arms if that makes a difference..
Ok thanks. I appreciate the info. I looked on lsr's site earlier and they were $125 ea. Maybe I'll try to find a cheap spindle on eBay to try a yfz hub on ex spindle
