New 'On Any Sunday' movie
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:19:59 am »
If your old you probably have seen the '70s motorcycle movie 'On Any Sunday' by Bruce Brown, the surf movie producer of 'Endless Summer'. Definitely a must see movie if you missed it. The movie showcases many different genres of motorcycle racing from ice to the desert and many in between.

Now a new OAS movie is being made....!

A definite must see for any motorcycle enthusiast. I saw it when I was 10, The scene when Malcom Smith rode up the hill climb and forgot to turn on the gas and "wowwed" the crowd by turning around and riding back down. That scene is burned into my brain for life.

And the mortician who only made it 10 feet up the hill!! LOL

my favorite was the beginning with Mert Lawill (not sure on spelling) and the flat track racing. also, the old flat head harley hill climber. man that thing was g-narly!!!

Step dad said he rode with Malcom Smith a few times and he said Malcom would just pin it WFO and go.  He said they'd take off and not even 5 minutes out Malcom would be so far ahead nobody knew where he went and it was all they could do to stay upright and try and follow.

Cool seeing a wee little Jeff Ward pulling that wheelie on the Honda 50 in the beginning!
